Safe Card Usage Tips - Anti-Fraud Advice - ICBC (Asia)
Recently, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited (“the Bank”) have noticed a frequent occurrence of credit card fraud cases in market, the fraudsters are stealing customers’ personal information to carry out fraudulent activities. To help you better protect your credit card and personal information, the Bank are providing the fraud prevention tips here.
- Safeguard Your Credit Card
- Sign on the signature panel on the back of your credit card with a ball pen immediately.
- Do not let anyone else to use your credit card.
- Please do not disclose any credit card information via mobile phone, email, unsecured website, public sales, etc.
- If your card/Authentication factors have been lost, stolen or compromised, or if you identify unusual or suspicious transactions on the card, please report the incident immediately for stopping the use of the card by calling ICBC (Asia) Credit Card Centre 24-hour Customer Service Hotline at (852) 2189 5588 or inform any of our branches nearest you or access Mobile Banking APP for Lost Card Report.
- Safeguard Your PIN / Authentication factors (such as personal identification number [PIN] and authentication tokens)
- Do not let anyone else to use your PIN / Authentication factors.
- Take reasonable steps to keep the card safe and the PIN / authentication factors secret to prevent fraud, especially about the risks associated with the adoption of biometric, soft token or device binding as one of the authentication factors used for initiating relevant transactions (e.g. contactless mobile payments) and the relevant protection measures to secure the devices and authentication factors.
- Ensure your contact details registered with our bank for the purpose of receiving important notifications (for example, SMS and email notifications for online payments) are up-to-date to allow the relevant notifications to be delivered to you on a timely basis.
- Do not disclose the CVV or one-time password to 3rd party.
- Security on Online Credit Card Transaction
- The Bank has enhanced the credit card online transaction verification service. Simply register for online banking service. When shopping online with merchants participating in the 3D secure authentication protocol, login to “ICBC (Asia)” mobile banking app and enter the 6 digit PIN from the mobile token to complete transaction verification. You must register for a mobile token to use the credit card online transaction verification service by logging into “ICBC (Asia)” mobile banking app. If you do not have any registered mobile token, please register in the “ICBC (Asia)” mobile banking app.
