On November 6, Singapore Pavilion was officially launched on ICBC's e-commerce platform - e-Buy. For consumers to purchase genuine branded products, Singapore Pavilion is independently operated by the e-commerce team of ICBC Singapore Branch, the first of its kind among overseas pavilions on ICBC e-Buy.
The initial products available in Singapore Pavilion include bottled bird's nest - the best selling product of Singapore's time-honored brand - Dragon Brand Bird's Nest; other well-known brands of Singapore's nutrition and health care and fashion accessory industries will be launched afterwards. In addition to Singapore Pavilion, ICBC has opened a variety of cross-border shopping sections such as Spain Pavilion, Korea Pavilion and New Zealand Pavilion that provide a new platform for consumers to purchase quality products worldwide.
According to an ICBC official, e-Buy has targeted at renowned merchants, renowned brands, and renowned goods since launched in January 2014, and continued to expand and diversify the categories and sources of renowned products to guarantee higher quality and service for upgraded consumption. In the first nine months of this year, the trading volume of ICBC e-Buy exceeded RMB 500 billion with around 24 million users registered on the platform. In cross-border e-commerce, ICBC's extensive global network coverage and strong overseas customer base create natural advantages for its business operation. As it has branches in the location of overseas pavilions, ICBC can directly select local merchants and strictly check the qualification and the products to ensure high quality and timely launch of hot selling brands in overseas markets. In addition, e-Buy strives to sell China's quality products in overseas market to accelerate China's extension from "global factory" to "global store".
