On October 31, “e-Buy”, the e-commerce platform of ICBC, rolled out Korea Pavilion bringing famous Korean brands such as Sulwhasoo and Korean GINSENG on line to provide Chinese consumers with a new option to access high-quality Korean products.
Over 30 best sellers in Korea made debut in Korea Pavilion, covering health care, fashionable accessories and cosmetics. To ensure genuine quality Korean products, "e-Buy" cooperated with the famous local e-commerce company InterPark for product purchase and quality assurance .
According to an ICBC official, since its debut in January 2014, "e-Buy" has been targeting renowned merchants, renowned brands and renowned goods and constantly enriching well-known product varieties and sources to guarantee the product qualities and services for higher-level consumption. In the first nine months this year, "e-Buy" posted a transaction volume of over RMB 500 billion with around 24 million registered customers. With extensive exposure all over the world and broad customer base, ICBC has a natural advantage in developing cross-border e-commerce business. As it has subsidiaries in the places where overseas pavilions locate, ICBC can select local merchants and strictly check their qualifications and products to ensure all the products are genuine and the overseas best sellers hit shelves on a timely basis. Meanwhile, "e-Buy" also strives to market domestic quality commodities overseas to support China's development from "global factory" to "global shop".
