Spain's Ibex-35 Stock exchanged edged closer to the 10,700-point mark on a slow day's trading to open the week on Monday.
The Ibex-35 opened on 10,658.40 points and closed on 10,676.50; a rise of just 0.17 percent, but enough for it to enjoy a third consecutive day of positive trading.
The day began with slight losses in share prices due mainly to the unexpected fall in production in Germany registered in June, but prices recovered through the afternoon session and a strong final hour saw Monday end on a positive note.
Arcelormittal saw the largest share rises of the day, with a 4.78 percent rise in values, while shares in AENA, the company which runs Spain's airports increased 1 percent in value, despite the ongoing strike by security staff at Barcelona's El Prat airport.
Meanwhile Technicas Reunidas and Siemans Gamesa, which on Friday saw share values climb by 4.75 percent and 3.59 percent respectively, were two of the day's biggest losers with shares falling by 3.61 and 2.16 percent as investors looked to cash in on last Friday's gains.
Spain's risk premium continued to fall and ended the session on 97.8 points, while interest on the 10-year-bond closed on 1.43 percent.
