VN-Index, the stock market index of Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City bourse in south Vietnam, closed at 674.6 points on Wednesday, up 0.34 points, or 0.05 percent, against the previous trading days closing session.
About 111.235 million shares worth 2.163 trillion Vietnamese dong (VND) (97.93 million U.S. dollars) changed hands at the southern HCM City Stock Exchange. Prices of 130 stocks went up, 107 stocks fell down, while 61 stocks remained unchanged.
VN30-Index, the new benchmark index for the southern bourse, which tracks the 30 leading stocks by both market capitalization and liquidity, closed at 638.72 points, up 1.21 points, or 0.19 percent.
A total of 52.149 million shares worth 1.056 trillion VND (47.80 million U.S. dollars) were traded on Wednesday.
