Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 10.99 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 2,871.05.

A total of 1.46 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 593.1 million Singapore dollars (410.1 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 216 to 174, while 708 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 19.66 points, or 0.68 percent, to close at 2,882.04 Thursday.
