French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 0.01 percent and closed at 4,888.71 points on Wednesday.

The top three gainers were PEUGEOT, up 3.38 percent, KERING, up 2.93 percent, and TECHNIP, up 2.17 percent.

The three companies whose stock dropped most were ENGIE, down 2.97 percent, CAPGEMINI, down 1.55 percent, and NOKIA, down 1.53 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained by 0.01 percent to close at 4,888.23 points on Tuesday, up 0.66 points.
