The Malaysian stock market ended lower here on Friday.

The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) was at1,623.80 down 2.97 points or 0.18 percent, and the Emas was at 11,459.21 down 0.60 of a point or 0.01 percent.

There were 356 gainers, 402 losers and 353 counters traded unchanged.

Turnover increased to 1.39 billion shares valued at 1.51 billion ringgit Malaysia(342.02 million U.S. dollars), compared with 1.39 billion shares valued at 1.46 billion ringgit Malaysia(332.04 million U.S. dollars) on Thursday.
