Indian markets closed flat with negative note Tuesday on account of mid selling in frontline bluechip counters amid mixed global cues.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 28,339.31, 12.31 points or 0.04 percent down compared to its previous close at 28,351.62.
