The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday closed almost flat, down 15.21 points or 0.13 percent, at 11963.18 points.

Housing association Vonovia lost the most by 1.85 percent, followed by BMW (1.05 percent) and Lufthansa (1.04 percent).

Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Boerse are the top three winners, whose shares increased by 5.83 percent, 2.13 percent and 1.32 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share, with a turnover of 320.03 million euros (about 339.42 million U.S. dollars).
