Enhancement of Internet Security Control for ICBC(Asia) Internet banking

With effect from 18 Nov 2018, the Bank will upgrade the encryption protocol of ICBC(Asia) Internet banking to TLS 1.2 and stop supporting Windows XP in order to improve internet security and ensure better protection for our customers. Please check your operation system and browser version to ensure you can continue to access our internet banking after the encryption protocol upgrade.

1﹑Windows 7 or above version is recommended. Steps to check Windows version.
Please select “Start” > “Control Panel” >”System”

2﹑Please use the following browsers with TLS1.2 enabled for ICBC(Asia) Internet banking.
• Internet Explorer 8 or above
• Chrome 38 or above
• Firefox 27 or above
• Safari 7 or above
Please update your browser version and/or operating system as soon as possible if necessary.
1) Chrome / Firefox / Safari
For Chrome, Firefox or Safari, please update to the latest version. TLS 1.2 are enabled as default after update.
2) Internet Explorer
For Internet Explorer 11 or above, TLS 1.2 are enabled as default.
For Internet Explorer 8, 9 or 10, please refer to the following 3 steps to enable TLS 1.2.

3﹑Following guide shows steps for enabling TLS1.2 (Windows 7 ,Internet Explorer 10)

Step 1:
Click "Tools" on menu bar of the browser or “「」” icon on the top right corner of the browser. Then select "Internet Options".

Step 2:
Choose "Advanced" tab under "Internet Options". Then check the option "Use TLS 1.2" and click "OK" button.


Step 3:
Close all browsers and then restart in order for the above setting to take effect.
