Mobile Banking launches “Password Token” as the two-factor authentication tool

ICBC (Asia) (“Our Bank”) continually strive to improve your banking experience and offer you safe, reliable and comprehensive digital banking financial services. With effect from 16 July 2018, our mobile banking app “ICBC Mobile Banking” provides personal customers with a “Password Token” as the two factor authentication tool. You will be able to enjoy the convenience of our Mobile Banking Services with an extra layer of protection. You can also extend the transaction authentication scope by using “Password Token”.

With our Password Token, you can make transactions at your fingertips with an extra layer of protection. Password Token can generate a one-time 6-digit “dynamic password” for each of your individual transaction, and you must enter the 6-digit “dynamic password” on your mobile banking in order to authorize certain high risk transactions.
You can currently use your "Password Token" to perform any of the following transactions/services via Mobile Banking:
1.Transfer funds to non-registered third party accounts*;
2.Registration of third-party beneficiary accounts;
3.Registration of transfer/remittance templates;
4.Change of login password;
5.Calibration of “Password Token”

*For Fund Transfers to Non-Registered Account(s) with transaction amounts greater than the Small-Value Fund Transfer Limit (with a daily maximum limit of up to HKD 5,000 or equivalent), a Password Token is required for transaction authentication purposes.

You can search “ICBC” or scan the QR codes below to download for free the latest version of our ICBC Mobile Banking app available on App Store and Google Play.
