Account Opening Witness Service
ICBC (Asia) provides the Account Opening Witness service in Hong Kong for the opening of the Elite Club or Peony Money Link Card • E-Age of ICBC on the Mainland. The Elite Club services provided by ICBC are of the same standard as ICBC (Asia)'s, which include designated counter, professional account management, specialized investment products, designated financial consultants, special discount offer and investment seminar. Peony Money Link Card • E-Ages is a multi-function bank card with enhanced functions. The Peony Money Link Card • E-Ages based on complete integration of ICBC's e-Banking Services which offer services like personal settlement, e-Banking, investment and financing and some other services.
Once either Elite Club or Peony Money Link Card • E-Ages of ICBC is activated, you can enjoy the facilities provided by ICBC and experience the advanced E-banking services in the mainland. You can handle most of the banking services, like time deposits, gold and foreign exchange transaction, as well as remittance services through online bankng securely and conveniently.
You can choose passbook or statement savings for summary of account transactions, and enjoy greater convenience to enquire account balance through Internet Banking Services or Phone Banking Services. The minimum initial deposit is as low as RMB100.
Time Deposit Account1
There are ranges of deposit tenors for you to choose and enjoy preferential rate. The initial deposit can be as low as RMB 5,000.
With our RMB current account, personal customers can issue cheque to pay for spending expenditure in Guangdong Province, including Shenzhen. The maximum daily balance is RMB80,000 and the maximum aggregate amount of cheque issuing on the same day is RMB80,000. Initial deposit is as low as RMB 1,000.
Convenient remittance service processed via any of our branches. Apart from the general RMB remittance, we also offer a unique remittance, namely “Remittance Service With Predetermined RMB Exchange Rate”. This service enables you to remit HKD or USD with quoted RMB exchange rate. The beneficiaries can receive the funds in USD at ICBC branches on the mainland with the exchange rate quoted on the remittance date. By using this service, you can better mange your finance at ease.
A brand new, yet unique remittance service of the ICBC "Global Transfer" Service, “Speed remittance”, has been launched. Such service provides commercial and personal customers with a fast and convenient remittance service across the border. Beneficiaries can receive the fund within 30 minutes through over 2,000 outlets in China even they do not have the bank account.
You can enjoy preferential rate4with no handling charges. Each customer can exchange notes up to RMB20,000 per person per transaction at branch; yet can buy and sell up to RMB20,000 per day through our RMB accounts.
RMB Non-deliverable Forward Contract
Non-deliverable Forward Contract is foreign exchange derivatives product traded over the counter. The customer and the Bank agree to exchange two currencies at pre-determined rate at a specified date in the future. However, there is no physical delivery of two currencies. Both parties will compare the spread between the spot rate and the pre-determined rate and settle the spread in either currency (if USD against RMB, the settlement currency will be in USD). The minimum contract size is USD10,000 and the tenor of the contract can be 1-month, 2-month, 3-month, 6-month or 1-year with no handling charges.
Designated Business Customers
Designated business customers can open RMB savings account, time deposit account, RMB exchange services5 and non-deliverable forward contract. Designated business customers6 which should be Hong Kong commercial establishments that provide retail, catering , accommodation, transportation services, communications services, medical services and educational services (excluding money changers, property agents, stockbrokers and gambling establishments).
ICBC Dual Currency credit card
ICBC Dual Currency Credit Card has both Renminbi and Hong Kong Dollar accounts in one card: purchases and cash withdrawals via ICBC and China UnionPay networks in Mainland China will be posted in Renminbi, so you won't have to pay extra money for exchange rate difference and overseas purchase handling fee for Renminbi; purchases and cash withdrawals via VISA network in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas will be posted in Hong Kong Dollars. It saves you from the risks and burden of carrying cash during outbound travels. You can even enjoy numerous merchant offers from Beijing, Shanghai, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau.
Mainland Mortgage Loan
Our "Mortgage Plus" service can provide you with flexible mortgage loan services in many major mainland cities. We offer a variety of mortgage options, along with personal service from our knowledgeable staff, so you can purchase a property on the mainland more easily. In addition, we also provide a variety of special offers which include preferential rate for RMB note exchange services, Discount on service charge for remittance to the mainland, Choice of financing in HKD or USD, Waiver of the handling fee for loan application, Loan amounts up to 70% of purchase price or appraised property value (whichever is lower), convenient repayment method through autopay, and repayment terms up to 30 years*.

By simply dialing a local phone number, you can manage your banking affairs with ICBC and ICBC (Asia) at any time without any long distance call cost no matter you are in the Mainland or Hong Kong. When you are in the Mainland, you can dial a local call 95588* to access to your bank, credit card and securities accounts of ICBC (Asia) with a wide range of services, and when you are in Hong Kong, you may also dial a local call 218 95588 to manage the bank accounts of ICBC.

RMB remittance services only apply to individual RMB account holders who can remit RMB from his/ her personal RMB savings account with ICBC (Asia) to his/ her RMB account under the same name on the mainland. Each customer can remit up to RMB80,000 per day.

Corporate customers can only deposit RMB notes into their RMB accounts, and they can only exchange RMB for withdrawing HKD notes or RMB notes. There is no maximum limit for corporate customer to withdraw HKD from RMB savings account, but the transaction amount must be related to their business nature.
The list of “Designated business customers” will be updated, which does not include money changers, property agents, stockbrokers and gambling establishments.
