What is ICBC Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Our Bank's Mobile Banking Service allows you to manage your accounts and perform various kinds of transactions anywhere, anytime in a convenient and safe way with our designated mobile Web & App service. You can view your account balance, perform fund transfer within ICBC (Asia) accounts and to other bank pre-registered accounts and perform securities trading. Besides, you can obtain the latest information of our bank.

What services does ICBC Mobile Banking Service provide?

A :

With our Mobile Banking Service, you may:

-  Trade securities
-  Make Hong Kong dollar or foreign currency fund transfer (To self-named or registered accounts)
-  Make fund transfer to other bank registered accounts (Electronic Clearing, CHATS, Telegraphic Transfer)
-  Enquire account balance and transaction history
-  Enquire exchange rate

Q1 :

How do I access to ICBC Mobile Banking?

A :

We support 2 platforms - iPhone Apps and Mobile Web. For iPhone users, you can download the free ICBC Mobile Banking iPhone App from Apple App Store. For any other mobile handset, please use its web browser to access the following link: https://m.icbcasia.com or https://mobilehk.icbc.com.cn. We do not support Android Apps at the moment.

 

 

Q2 :

What can I do if I forget the password?

A :

If you enter the incorrect password in four consecutive times, you will not be able to logon our Mobile banking and Internet Banking. It is because the password has been frozen. Please visit any of our branches for regenerating the new password.

 

 

Q3 :

Why I cannot logon the ICBC Mobile Banking with the regenerated password?

A :

It is because you need to change your password with the regenerated password via Personal Internet Banking. After that, you can enter the Mobile Banking Service with the new password.

 

 

Q4 :

Can I access to ICBC (Asia) Mobile Banking via any types of mobile models?

A :

Most of the smart phone models in current market are supported by our Mobile Banking.

Recommended operation systems, mobile brands/models:

- Apple iOS 4.3.3 or above: iPhoneĦAiPod Touch, etc.
- Android OS 2.2 or above: Samsung Galaxy,HTC Legend, etc.
- BlackBerry OS 4.5 or above: BlackBerry 9800, etc.

The above specifications are for reference only.

 

 

Q5 :

Is there any specified Telecom Service Provider if I would like to get access to the Mobile Banking?

A :

No. Our Mobile Banking Service is supported by all Telecom Service Providers. However, please take note on the overseas data usage plan.

 

 

Q6 :

Do I need to pay for using ICBC Mobile Banking Service?

A :

No. Our Mobile Banking Service is free of charge except some specified transactions such as Telegraphic Transfer and CHATS.

 

 

Q7 :

What languages does ICBC Mobile Banking Service support?

A :

Our Mobile Banking supports English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

Q1 :

Do I need to pay for using the Mobile Securities Trading Service?

A :

There is no extra charge for our Mobile Securities Trading Service. It can allow you to trade anytime and anywhere with a handset.
For real time stock quote, you will be entitled to a fixed amount of free real-time quotes. For each successful buy/sell transaction, 100 additional free real-time quotes will be given. If the real time quote usage is in excess of the free entitlement per month, HKD0.10 per quote will be charged for the relevant month. The charge will be rounded up to the nearest dollar with a minimum charge of HKD 5.00. Any unused free real-time quote will be forfeited automatically upon expiry of the month.

What services does Mobile Securities Trading Service provide?

A :

With our Mobile Securities Trading Service, you may:
a. Perform securities trading in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange via AMS/3 system
b. View comprehensive portfolio for both settlement account and securities account
c. Enjoy real-time/delayed stock quote.

What are the service hours of Mobile Securities Trading Service?

A :

Our services are available in the following hours:
- Enquiry Service: 24 hours per day
- Securities Trading Service: 24 hours per day
- At-Auction Limit Order: Anytime (except 9:15 a.m to 4:00 p.m. on trading dates); Input New Order during trading period will be effective on the same trading date. After trading session, you can input order for next trading day.
- Enhanced Limit Order: Anytime. Input New Order during trading period will be effective on the same trading date. After trading session, you can input order for next trading day.
- Odd-Lot Sell: Input same day order from 8:00am - 4:00pm on trading dates.

Note: If the HKEx's trading session is cancelled due to typhoon, Black Rainstorm Warning or any other reasons, the order(s) you have placed may not be successfully accepted.

What are the service hours for Mobile Fund Transfer Service?

A :

Our Mobile Fund Transfer offers 24-hour service. However, some specified transactions such as Telegraphic Transfer and CHATS are in exception.

Can I transfer funds to overseas banks through ICBC Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Yes, you can transfer funds to overseas banks by Telegraphic Transfer.

 

 

Q3 :

Can I transfer CNY to other bank accounts in Mainland China via your Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Yes, you can transfer CNY to other bank accounts in Mainland China via CNY Telegraphic Transfer. However, at this moment, this service is only applicable for personal CNY account holders and the beneficiaries with CNY accounts registered in our internet banking.

 

 

Q4 :

Do I need to pre-register the beneficiary accounts for transferring fund to other overseas banks?

A :

Yes, you need to register the beneficiary accounts if you want to perform fund transfer to other overseas banks through our Mobile Banking service.

 

 

Q5 :

Is there any service charge or corresponding fee involved in Telegraphic Transfer via Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Yes, corresponding fee and charges are levied on your designated payment account automatically.

 

 

Q6 :

What are the service hours for Mobile Telegraphic Transfer?

A :

For Telegraphic Transfer of all currencies except CAD and CNY, the service is available from 9:30a.m. to 3:00p.m., Monday to Friday. For Telegraphic Transfer of CAD and CNY, the service is available from 9:30a.m. to 2:00p.m., Monday to Friday.

 

 

Q7 :

When will the payee receive the money if I perform a Telegraphic Transfer today?

A :

The remittance amount, corresponding fees and charges will be debited from your account immediately. However, the time for payee to receive money will depend on the processing time of the corresponding bank.

 

 

Q8 :

Do I need to open a multi currencies account beforehand if I perform a telegraphic transfer?

A :

No, it is not necessary. After you have selected the types of currency remitted, the relevant exchange rate and equivalent HKD amount will be shown in the next page for your confirmation before proceeding.

   

Q9 :

Do I need to open a CNY account beforehand for performing CNY Telegraphic Transfer via Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Yes, you need to open a CNY Account beforehand. It is because the remittance amount must be debited from the remitter's CNY account.

   

Q10 :

Do I need to pre-register the beneficiary accounts for transferring CNY to other banking accounts in China?

A :

Yes, you need to pre-register the beneficiary accounts at branch and the beneficiaries' name must be registered in Chinese Telex Code unless the beneficiary has no Chinese name. Meanwhile, the remitter's name must be the same as the beneficiary.

   

Q11 :

How many beneficiary accounts can be pre-registered for fund transfer to other overseas banks?

A :

You can pre-register a maximum of ninety-nine beneficiary accounts in the Mobile Banking Package for transfer funds overseas.

   

Q12 :

Do I need to pre-register the beneficiary accounts for fund transfer by CHATS?

A :

Yes, you need to register the beneficiary accounts at branches.

   

Q13 :

Is there any service charge involved in fund transfer by CHATS with our Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Yes, the corresponding charges are levied on your designated payment account automatically.

   

Q14 :

What are the service hours for Mobile CHATS Service?

A :

For HKD & USD via CHATS, the service is available from 9:30a.m. to 5:00p.m., Monday to Friday. For Euro and CNY via CHATS, the service is available from 9:30a.m. to 4:00p.m., Monday to Friday.

   

Q15 :

When will the beneficiary receive the money if I perform a CHATS transfer today?

A :


The remittance amount and fees will be debited from your account immediately and the beneficiary will receive the money on the same day.

   

Q16 :

What are the service hours for Mobile Banking Electronic Clearing Service?

A :

Electronic Clearing is available from 9:00a.m. to 10:00p.m., Monday to Friday (except public holidays). Instruction accepted before cutoff time, funds will be credited to the recipient's account by the end of the day, subject to the recipient bank's arrangement. Otherwise, funds will be credited to the recipient account on the next day, subject to the recipient bank's arrangement. (Cutoff time: Mon - Fri 2p.m. Instruction received after Fri 2p.m. would be executed on the next Mon)

   

Q17 :

How can I know the display pattern on those the transfer accounts shown in Mobile Banking?

A :

To make the Mobile Banking design more user-friendly, accounts are displayed with the specified pattern (for English Version):
"Currency (combination of three alphabets) + one space + Account Type (first three alphanumeric characters and the last alphabets) + Account No. (nine digits) + ** (Two Star Signs)"

   

Q18 :

What is "Message"?

A :

The users can describe the transaction via "Message" and such message will be displayed in the transaction Confirmation Page and Acknowledgment Page.
"Message" only accepts letters, numbers, symbols (. ( + ) - / , ?: ') and spaces.

To make the Remittance Services more flexible, there are special display patterns and fill in methods of "Message" for the transactions of Electronic Clearing, CHATS, Telegraphic Transfer.

i) If the "Message" has been registered in internet banking, it will not be shown on Input Page but you can find the registered Message in both Confirmation Page and Acknowledgment Page. If you do not want to show the registered messages, you can input a "space" in the "Message" box instead; if you want to show new messages, you can enter new message in "Message" box instead.

ii) For the non-registered Message, you can type the messages you want in "Message" box on Input Page so that the message will be shown on both Confirmation Page and Acknowledgment Page.

Q1 :

Can I enquire all ICBC (Asia) accounts balance through our Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Yes, you can view all registered accounts balance via "My Deposit" in Mobile Banking. However, for Time Deposit Account and Planned Savings Account, please view the accounts balance via our internet banking services.

 

 

Q2 :

Are all the balances shown up-to-date?

A :

The balances are real-time update except those transactions performed after cut-off time or on public holiday. The balances of those transactions will be shown on the next working day's account activities.

 

 

Q3 :

Can I enquire the account transaction activities through our Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Yes, you can enquire the transaction activities up to last 60 days for your accounts registered in the Mobile Banking Package. However, Time Deposit Account and Planned Savings Account are exception.

 

 

Q4 :

Why I cannot find all transactions in "Log Query" through Mobile Banking Service?

A :

"Log Query" only shows the transactions performed via mobile banking. You can view the account details through "My Deposit Details"

What merchants can I pay for through your Mobile Banking Service?

A :

You can pay to Utilities like CLP Power, and Government Departments like Rates & Government Rent.

Can I settle my credit card bills through your Mobile Banking Service?

A :

Sorry, the service will be available as soon as possible.

 

 

Q3 :

Do I need to pre-register my bill account with your Bank before paying bills online?

A :

Pre-registration of bill payments with our Bank is not necessary.

 

 

Q4 :

What are the service hours for the function of Bill Payment?

A :

The service is available for 24 hours. However, transactions performed after cut-off time (i.e. 7:30p.m. from Monday to Friday) will be valued on the next working day.

 

 

Q5 :

Do I need to download the iPhone App again to use the new bill payment services?

A :

It is not necessary to download the iPhone app again to use the new bill payment services. For customers who are either using our iPhone apps or using smartphone web browser to log in our Mobile Banking, the new bill payment services will be displayed automatically.
